At our company, we consider safety an integral part of our daily work. That’s why this year, we again paid special attention to it as part of Safety Week, which took place from 19 to 23 May at all our BUs.

And it is these unexpected changes, often seemingly insignificant, that carry the greatest risks. It could be a change of procedure, a rescheduling, a change of team member or a decision to speed something up. In the routine and day-to-day operations, it’s easy to overlook these changes – which is why last-minute change was the theme of this year’s campaign.

What all happened during the week?

On-site training and discussions – fitters and site managers shared their practical experiences and talked about how to spot risky situations.

Safety meetings in the offices – we focused on communication between departments, error prevention and everyone’s responsibility.

Sharing examples from the field – specific situations where a timely decision prevented an accident served as a basis for discussion.

Safety Week in JOBka – several specific examples were shared with employees during Safety Week via the JOBka app, where a last-minute change could have caused injury or even death.

What do we take away from the week?

Safety Week reminded us once again that a safe working environment does not just happen. It is created by paying attention to details, talking things through and not making light of situations that “look harmless”. We believe that open communication and mutual trust are the keys to making sure that every colleague goes home healthy.

Thank you to everyone who participated in Safety Week – whether by attending in person, sharing their experiences, or just taking a moment to stop and reflect.
