The emergency transmission line, 3,150 metres in length, was designed and built in 28 days by OMEXOM GA Energo employees. It is a replacement for the V497 line damaged by the June tornado. The route of the damaged V497 line runs across the D2 motorway, so the construction of the emergency transmission line was carried out under the strictest safety conditions. The emergency line was built with a total length of more than three kilometres in 21 days, making it the longest emergency transmission line in the Czech Republic. The V497 line had been damaged in the vicinity of Břeclav by the tornado that swept through Southern Moravia Region at the end of June. After the fallen lines were cleared from the motorway, work immediately began on the construction of a replacement route to restore power supplies as soon as possible.
