The Pilsen Region Half Marathon once again confirmed its status as one of the region’s most significant sporting events this year. Thousands of runners of all skill levels arrived at Škodaland in Pilsen to test their strength on courses ranging from the half marathon to shorter runs for the general public.
OMEXOM has been a proud partner of this event for several years, and this year’s edition was exceptional in many ways. A record 50 employees, including colleagues from abroad, lined up at the starting line. This strong turnout demonstrated that sports have a firm place within the company and can bring people together across teams and countries.
OMEXOM stood out not only for the number of participants but also for the results. The OMEXOM team achieved great success on the shorter course, where it took 1st place in the team category.
Supporting sports activities has long been a part of OMEXOM’s corporate culture. It’s not just about physical fitness, but also about interpersonal relationships and teamwork. “Supporting sports is important to us not only from a health perspective, but also as a way to build a strong and cohesive team. Shared sporting experiences connect colleagues across the company and strengthen collaboration even outside the workplace,” says Zdeněk Židek, the company’s director.
